Southampton striker Che Adams has insisted the Saints are "confident" going into their Premier League clash with Manchester United on Sunday.
Erik ten Hag's side welcome Southampton to Old Trafford this weekend, with the Reds desperate to get back to winning ways in the league after losing 7-0 to Liverpool last week. United secured a convincing 4-1 win over Real Betis in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie on Thursday night.
United, who currently sit third in the Premier League table, have not lost at home in the Premier League since the opening weekend of the campaign when Brighton won 2-1 at Old Trafford in Ten Hag's first competitive game in charge. The Reds have won nine league matches and drawn twice at home since that defeat, with only Newcastle and Leeds taking points away from Old Trafford in that period.

Although Ten Hag's men are favourites to overcome Southampton on Sunday, Ruben Selles' side have won two of their last three games in the league, including a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Adams has insisted that the Saints believe they can cause an upset against United, claiming that there is confidence within the squad as they continue to battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
"I think we have shown it, that we can beat anyone on our day," he told Hampshire Live. "We are a good enough team to do that and over the past few times going to Old Trafford we have got a couple of draws.
"I don't know why, but we always seem to produce against the bigger teams and play better against them, I don't know if that is them being overconfident, or us just fighting for every ball. But we are confident going into this game and if it is not successful, then we have a few days to go into Brentford."
Southampton drew 1-1 with the Reds when the two sides last met at Old Trafford in February 2022, with Adams on the scoresheet for the away side after Jadon Sancho had scored for United.
