South Liverpool terrace hiding 'impeccable' interior

The ECHO has taken a look inside a terraced house that's been listed for sale in a sought after area of south Liverpool

The end terrace, with four bedrooms and one bathroom, is located on Ashfield Road in Aigburth, a stone's throw from beautiful Sefton Park. It's on the market for offers over £385,000 with Jones & Chapman, who said the 'finish is impeccable'.

The façade of the Victorian home is well kept, with ornate stonework and red brick complementing the trendy charcoal double glazing.

Inside, the porch door has been replaced with something a little more modern and gives way an airy hallway with elegant coving and a panelled staircase painted in a bold colour.

The house is spread across three floors and the ground floor is largely open plan. The décor is minimalistic, modern and stylish, with the walls left largely white to enhance the muted, neutral tones of the upholstery.

The kitchen at the rear of the property is monochromatic and slick without taking away from the 'homely' feel. Huge windows also allow natural light to pour into the space and enhance the interior.

Bi-fold doors in the kitchen/diner provide access to the gorgeous 'yarden' oasis that has been created using the limited outdoor space typical of Victorian terraces.

The first level has an interesting layout. The current owners have a vast master suite at the front of the house, with two bedrooms knocked through to create a massive sleeping area and a dressing room.

There's a second bedroom on this floor and a stunning family bathroom, with a standalone bath on a quirky raised platform filled with decorative stones. There's also a huge walk-in shower unit.

Two more bedrooms can be found on the top level.

In its Zoopla listing, Jones & Chapman said: "This is a beautiful family home with a lovely contemporary finish but still retaining original character and features.

"It provides a very high standard of presentation and benefits from its position close to Sefton Park and also Lark Lane with its extensive range of bars and restaurants."

Aigburth is a popular area given its wide range of amenities and easy access to Liverpool city centre.

In the last year, the overall average price of a property there was £249,560, 3% higher than the previous 12 months and 15% up on the 2020 peak of £217,931.

The majority of sales were terraced houses, fetching an average of £239,666, while semi-detached homes sold for £336,560.
