South Lanarkshire Council is looking for public feedback on how it will spend future funding.
The participatory budgeting exercise is asking residents to get involved in how the council spendls public money.
The local authority has a grounds maintenance budget of £3 million and want locals to have their voices heard in how it is used.
The council undertakes a range of general grounds maintenance duties on council land with a large part of this maintenance being grass cutting. The options residents vote for will help to make sure that the £3m for 2022 to 2023 is aligned to match residents’ priorities.
The survey covers a range of different maintenance focuses including general open space, sports facilities, parks and cemeteries – people can indicate which areas they believe needs the funding.
The survey is available to view here.
