South Korea boss lifts lid on Celtic visit that transformed Yang's displays

South Korea boss Hong Myung-bo has praised Celtic ace Yang Hyun-jun after handing him an international recall.

The Hoops ace is back in the fold following a 13-month exile from his country for their World Cup double-header against Jordan and Oman.

He said: "I went to Scotland to visit Yang in January and at the time, his playing time was short, and I could tell that there were difficulties within the team.

"Since that meeting, he has shown many good performances with Celtic.

"He has made a major impact in games even when he was only playing in them for a short period of time.

"I believe young Korean players should be the mainstay of our team moving forward."
