South Australia's COVID caseload has again jumped, with another 2,560 diagnoses taking the total number of active cases above 20,000.
Another three people have died with the virus — two men in their 90s and a woman in her 70s.
The new cases take the total number of active cases to 20,279 — the first time since January 30 that cases have exceeded 20,000.
There are 90 COVID-positive patients in hospital — down from the 97 reported yesterday.
But the number of people in intensive care has increased from 13 to 15.
Two patients are currently on ventilators.
There have been 215 COVID-linked deaths and 167,466 cases in SA since the start of the pandemic.
SA Health said 13,034 PCR tests were administered on Wednesday — an increase of more than a quarter on the previous day.
More than 92 per cent of the state's eligible population of those aged 12 and over has received a second vaccine dose.
"Boosters have been administered to 69 per cent of eligible South Australians," SA Health said.
