Fourth graders from Amanzimtoti Primary School in South Africa recently took part in a meaningful initiative on Call to Earth Day, teaming up with the non-profit organization Clean Surf Project and Sapphire Coast Tourism. The young students embarked on an adventure-filled journey, starting with a scenic train ride to Warner Beach, where they dedicated their time to cleaning up the environment by collecting an impressive 25 bags of garbage.
Building on this success, Clean Surf Project and Sapphire Coast Tourism collaborated on another impactful event, this time involving passionate environmentalists from Umkomaas Primary School. Together with the support of community members and groups such as the Umbogintwini Scouts, the event took place at Umbogintwini Beach and resulted in the collection of a remarkable 90 bags of trash.
These collaborative efforts not only highlight the dedication of the young participants but also underscore the importance of community involvement in environmental conservation. By coming together and taking action, these individuals are making a tangible difference in keeping their local beaches clean and promoting a sustainable future for their communities.
