South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has been sworn in for a second term. The reelection of the head of the ANC came with the help of coalition parties. It's the first time the ANC has needed to form a government of national unity, or GNU, in 30 years. South Africans are hoping that this new political setup will be able to deliver.

Eastern DR Congo has been beset by conflict for decades, but for the last two years, clashes between the army and M23 militants have ramped up the civilian fallout. Over a million people have been displaced this year alone. Those living in camps around Goma can't even count on food. About a quarter of the country's population, or around 23.4 million people, are facing crisis levels of hunger. Over 5 million are on the brink of famine. We speak to Florian Monnerie, Action Against Hunger's country director for DR Congo.
Finally, in Kenya, June is International Pride Month. But it's a bittersweet celebration for the country's LGBT community. Gay people there are increasingly aware of the risks of even using dating apps, as several incidents have been reported of users being tricked into meeting someone, only to be robbed or kidnapped. Many believe that there's a homophobic motivation to the attacks. Our team on the ground reports.
