Around 200 exhibitors covering the whole leather supply chain will gather during "APLF Asean 2022" at Halls 1-2 of Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Ratchadaphisek Road, daily from 10am to 6pm, starting tomorrow until Friday.
Held for the first time in Bangkok, this is a special edition of the international tradeshow offering a business platform for the three sectors -- leather, material and fashion industries -- in Southeast Asia.
It is an opportunity for Asean fashion buyers to meet suppliers of raw materials, semi-finished and finished leather, tannery chemicals as well as footwear, leather goods and all types of fashion accessories coming from all over the world including France, Italy, Brazil, India, Pakistan and Thailand.
One of the highlights will be a display of iconic art pieces by 10 designers from SEA countries who use leather as an inspiration to create alluring fashion goods, showing the endless possibility of the material. They will also share their entrepreneurial stories and design concepts.
However, the event is not only a tradeshow as it combines matching, education and experiential elements. Besides showcasing their latest collections and technologies, worldwide exhibitors can join different themed sessions with buyers in the business matching cafe.
Visitors, especially fashion professionals will be able to touch and feel the leather first hand and connect and make orders with the tanners directly to prepare for their upcoming collections.
They are also invited to sign up for four training sessions focusing on the fundamental knowledge of leather, sustainability and how to apply the 23/24 spring/summer and autumn/winter seasonal trends to develop their next collections.
A variety of conferences, workshops and seminars are also designed for different types of visitors.
