Liverpool Sound City returns this month with a brand new addition to the music festival.
From April 28 to April 30, a huge line up of acts will play across the city centre at various venues. Numerous acts will be performing across Saturday and Sunday, including Olivia Dean.
The soul-pop sensation has become one of the most talked about new UK pop stars after a string of soulful singe and features with the likes of Loyle Carner. She will be joining the likes of headliners Reytons and Masie Peters.

New Music Friday will precede the main weekend from 6pm-11pm on April 28. This new addition to the Sound City weekend will see the likes of Swim Deep, Beren Olivia, Michael Aldag and more perform across intimate local live music venues, as attendees are invited to explore Liverpool city centre.
Sound City is renowned for uncovering new talent, with past alumni including Ed Sheeran, Lizzo, Stormzy, Grimes, Yungblud, The 1975 and more. The exact locations hosting the New Music Friday gigs will be announced in the next few weeks.
Also returning is the Sound City+ Conference, which will feature a range of panels, speakers and programmes. It’s an event for established music professionals and aspiring who are invited to an "unrivalled day of innovative, forward-thinking industry discussion.”
This year’s line up will feature in-conversations with Jamie Webster, Lady Leshurr and Bob Vylan. There will also be a host of panels covering a wide range of the industry’s burning issues.

Sound City Pay It Forward
Pay It Forward charges an additional fee for tickets. According to Sound City, this helps “offer the chance for young people from our local communities to attend the conference, who might otherwise not have had the means to do so”.
This applies only toward the Friday conference, with additional charges at £5, £10, £20 and £49.50.
