Sophie Webster only left Coronation Street a couple of months ago and already she's moved on from Paula Cunliffe.
Paula has shared her woes about Sophie finding new romance after going travelling in October.
The solicitor told Tracy Barlow that her lover is now dating a backpacker she met on her journey.
"Anyway how are things going with you and Sophie?" asked new friend Tracy.
"Well, the last time I checked she was dating a beautifully tanned backpacker," said Paula.
"And I know this because I've been stalking her on social media."
But Paula was getting no sympathy from straight-talking Tracy.
"Blimey, you're even sadder than I am!" she told her.
Sophie was written out of the soap while actress Brooke Vincent, from Audenshaw, is on maternity leave with her first child.
In October Brooke introduced her baby boy Mexx SJ Bryan, her first child with Sheffield United footballer boyfriend Kean Bryan, to her Instagram followers.
She announced: "On Wednesday 23rd October at 8.14am our baby boy arrived. Mexx S J Bryan, you complete us."
Her Coronation Street character Sophie left in the back of a taxi to go travelling with the blessing of her girlfriend Paula, but disgruntled fans pointed out that the couple didn't appear to show affection before she headed off to Cambodia.
One said: "Utter disgusted with the way Sophie was sent off and how her and Paula have not had one single kiss in weeks. "Utterly ridiculous! You need to raise your game or be left behind."
And another said the portrayal of their relationship was 'disappointing.'
"In what world does Sophie just chastely hug her partner goodbye?" they tweeted.
Other fans took to social media to protest that this shouldn't be the end of the popular pair nicknamed 'Saula', who were introduced last year through Sophie's mum Sally Metcalfe who went to school with Paula.
