Sophie Price said she’s spending Mother’s Day apart from mum Amy Price as she celebrates the special occasion with baby son Albert.
Katie Price ’s younger sister, who welcomed the tot in May last year, said she’s being whisked away by partner Harry Brooks so she can be spoiled rotten on her very first Mother’s Day.
In an interview with luxury interiors brand Cream Cornwall, Sophie said she was “so excited” to be able to finally celebrate the special day, as she discussed how “surreal” motherhood was.
“Sometimes I still can’t get my head around how I’m now responsible for this little human, It feels so surreal! I absolutely adore him and every day there is something new to navigate, she sweetly shared.
Sophie won’t be with mum Amy, as she and Harry have booked a “little cabin trip” for them to enjoy with Albert.
“We’ll catch up with both our Mums’ in the morning over WhatsApp video, go for a walk in the sticks, grab some food and have a chilled day,” she shared.
Elsewhere in the chat, Sophie spoke about how relaxing she finds her mum’s home, and she looks forward to leaving London and escaping back to her parents’ house by the seaside.
“It almost feels like a sense of release, especially when I’m driving through the little villages on the way down – it’s so pretty and scenic,” she said.
Sophie also said mum Amy is a big influence on her home decor choices, and she recalled growing up surrounded by interior magazines.
“I always remember her having interior magazines at home when I was younger, and her recreating what she’d see in the pages - that being said, I now do exactly the same!” she laughed.
The 63-year-old, who has a terminal lung condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, recently got to decorate one of the rooms at Katie’s Sussex mansion, so she could leave her stamp on the property.
The transformation was documented in the Channel 4 series Katie Price's Mucky Mansion, and Amy was overjoyed to be able to create a space that would help her daughter feel relaxed.
“When you're not well you look at things in a different way and it would be nice if you can leave things that people can remember you by,” Amy said of the tranquil space.
“My mum doing a room in my house is special. Because it could actually potentially be the last thing she ever does for me,” an emotional Katie told the cameras.
