Sophie Ellis-Bextor is hosting a one night only home viewing experience during Eurovision after turning down the opportunity to be a judge at the competition.
The Murder On The Dancefloor singer has teamed up with Booking.com to offer fans the chance to have a one night stay in a sleek Liverpool apartment complete with karaoke machine, fancy dress, and a mixologist.
Ellis-Bextor will welcome the guests.
“I am so excited to be in Liverpool this year to watch the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 final alongside the lucky guests,” she said.
“Being able to celebrate this special occasion in the actual Home of Eurovision this year won’t only be an unforgettable home away from home experience for the guests, but myself as well!”
This comes after the star revealed she turned down being a Eurovision judge because of the competition’s strange rules.
The singer, 42, explained more to the Radio Times ahead of last year’s contest held in Italy ahead of the 66th edition of the contest this Saturday.
“I had a very small baby that I was still feeding, and they wouldn’t let me bring it along. I’m pretty sure the baby would have been impartial but, you know what, I think part of what I like about Eurovision is that it has very much got its rules… it’s kooky.”
She concluded: “We weren’t going to be allowed to speak while we were watching it either, and I thought, ‘I can’t watch Eurovision in silence.’”
The Ultimate Home of Eurovision with Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be available to book on a first come first serve basis on 28 April at Booking.com.
