Sonic Team shared some new information about its upcoming game, Sonic x Shadow Generations, which includes the file size and price on the Nintendo Switch.
The latest reveal about the game comes as it is still a few months from its official release. The official listings via the eShop and Nintendo website feature the digital versions of Sonic x Shadow Generations.
Sonic x Shadow Generations on Switch
The game will require players to have around 13.1 GB of free space on their Nintendo Switch consoles to play it, which is around double the size of the original Sonic Generations on certain platforms.
Also, players can now pre-order the game's digital version now and the Standard Edition will cost $49.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition will cost $59.99. The latter will feature skins, a BGM pack, a digital artbook, and more bonuses, according to NintendoLife.
Other news regarding Sonic x Shadow Generations had the official Japanese Sega website sharing new screenshots.
These images showed off the Kingdom Valley Stage and the Modern Sonic Legacy Skin. One thing to note is that these screenshots were taken from other versions of the game.
Recently, Sega also revealed that Sonic x Shadow Generations will come with a reversible cover sleeve. This would allow fans to swap between the Western and Japanese box art if they wish to do so.
The game's Digital Deluxe Edition listing on the eShop provides details regarding Sonic x Shadow Generations.
These include that this version will include iconic music tracks from previous Sonic and Shadow games, a Terios skin based on Shadow's original concept, behind-the-scenes art, and many more, said MyNintendoNews.
Various Details About the Game
Sonic x Shadow Generations was first announced back in January this year and adds a campaign that is centered around Shadow the Hedgehog. The game is part of this year's Year of Shadow promotional campaign.
This features special events and content that celebrate Sonic's famous black-haired arch-rival in the build-up to his big-screen debut in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie coming out later this year. Ahead of the game's launch on Oct. 25, 2024, more information has been trickling out.
These include various details about the story and levels as well as how the new Shadow-focused camping draws from games like Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog from 2006.
Shadow finds himself trapped in a mysterious void that is known as the White Space and he must fight various monsters to find a way to escape, according to GameRant.
