Son Heung-min spotted in Hollywood blockbuster as Tottenham love affair continues

There is a little bit of Tottenham Hotspur in Hollywood's latest animated Marvel blockbuster as Son Heung-min makes an unexpected appearance in the latest Spiderman move.

'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' is the long-awaited sequel to the 2018 Oscar-winning 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' and is based on the Marvel comics. The sequel, which features different versions of Spider-Man of all genders and species, saving the world across the multiverse opens in cinemas across the UK next week on June 2.

Eagle-eyed viewers of the various trailers that have come out in recent weeks have noticed in a Spanish trailer showing some new footage from the movie that on the wall of the main character Miles Morales' bedroom there is poster of Spurs' South Korean star Son dribbling with the ball with his name behind him.

It's not the first time Son has appeared in the world of Marvel as during one scene in the MCU movie Black Widow, released in 2021, the titular character, played by Scarlett Johansson, enters a shop and on a TV screen South Korea with captain Son are playing against Paraguay.

To continue the Marvel theme, Son met up with Spider-Man actor Tom Holland last season, with the pair interviewing each other, and it was revealed that the Hollywood star is a Spurs supporter. Son accordingly celebrated a couple of his goals by pretending to shoot webs from his wrists - Spider-Man style.

Tottenham will be hoping that their South Korean star can help swing them back up the table next season.
