Son and Sarr fight, Richarlison scared of Forster - Five things we spotted in Tottenham training

Antonio Conte is now back on the training pitches of Hotspur Way as Tottenham prepare for their crunch Champions League match against AC Milan.

The 53-year-old has returned after recovering from emergency surgery to remove his gallbladder and he is now preparing for this week's round of 16 second leg tie against the Serie A club on Wednesday night. On Tuesday afternoon, the media were able to watch the opening stages of the Spurs training session at the Enfield complex ahead of the game.

Here are five things we spotted from the session on a chilly, sleety day at Hotspur Way.

Happy Conte

Conte still did not look 100% in his press conference ahead of the training session, seeming a bit pale and he admitted he had lost weight while unwell. However, on the training pitches he looked more like his old self.

His coaches came out before him, Cristian Stellini back in his assistant head coach role and putting the cones out while the other coaches set up the session.

Conte then emerged, and took up a position between the two lines of players going through their warm-ups, observing them all.

He then watched the rondo afterwards and could be seen laughing as Son Heung-min screamed and threw himself to the floor in disgust at having to take a turn in the middle.

Youngsters involved

Alfie Devine, 18, continues to be a regular part of first team training, particularly in the injury-enforced absence of Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma.

There was another young player involved on Tuesday in the shape of defender Charlie Sayers, who was a part of the club's pre-season tour to South Korean last summer. The 18-year-old former Southend United defender netted on Friday in the U21s' 4-3 defeat at Fulham and now he was training with the first team with Eric Dier suspended from the match against Milan.

Son gave the young player a warm welcome back to the group with a big high five.

Romero and Porro popular figures

Son is involved with almost everyone during the course of a training session but Cristian Romero and Pedro Porro also appear to be popular members of the squad.

January signing Porro seems to have fitted in quickly with his bubbly personality and could be seen interacting and laughing with a number of players and seemed to be getting on with most of the group. Romero was being teased and wound up by his team-mates, particularly after one moment in the rondo with a little group around him poking fun at the Argentine.

Son and Sarr play fighting

As one of the younger first team players, Pape Matar Sarr appears to have been taken under the wing of a few of the senior players. In this session both Son and Davinson Sanchez were speaking with him heavily throughout as was January arrival Arnaut Danjuma.

Son appears to have a playful relationship with the 20-year-old and when it had to be decided which of the two of them had to do the punishment during the rondo, a little play fight broke out between them and ended with Son as the one who had to do push-ups on the pitch.

Forster too big for Richarlison

You don't mess with 6ft 7ins Fraser Forster if you know what's good for you! During the rondo, after one ball was intercepted, Richarlison jokingly charged towards the big goalkeeper in a threatening manner.

However, Forster simply wheeled around and pretend to run back at him with an arm raised and the Brazilian soon swivelled and ran away.

Richarlison was in a playful mood throughout and at one point knelt on the floor to execute one low pass in the rondo with his head.
