It seems like there's been a never-ending stream of fashion houses dropping ski collections lately. Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Balenciaga to highlight just a few. Skiing and snowboarding are already expensive hobbies, however, and adding a designer name only increases the cost. So we set out on a mission to find reasonably-priced ski gear.
Here's how we approached this seemingly impossible task. We set $500 as the top tier for a single item. Those items include jackets, jumpsuits, ski pants, base layers, boots, goggles and helmets. (You're on your own when it comes to skis and ski poles or snowboards.) We embraced matching sets for the most part, but feel free to break things up and only buy a piece at a time. You may already own an insulated jacket or thermal tees and leggings. It's kind of like choose your own adventure that way.
