Andy Robertson has urged Liverpool to repeat the reaction of their last Premier League heartbreak as he detailed extra motivation to wrench the title from Manchester City next season.
For the second time in three years, the Reds finished a point behind Pep Guardiola's side in the battle for the championship to end hopes of an unprecedented quadruple.
Liverpool responded to their previous setback in 2019 by romping to a first title in 30 years the following campaign. And Robertson believes the atmosphere at Anfield in Sunday's 3-1 final-day win over Wolverhampton Wanderers - in which he scored the final goal - has given the Reds a taste of how a championship triumph would be received having been forced to celebrate their 2020 success behind closed doors.

"It was extremely close, missing out by a point again, being over 90 points, it's incredible," said the Liverpool defender. "But we'll keep going, we will bounce back next season, we will try to go again.
"The last time it happened we reacted in a pretty good fashion and we have to do that again next season. We have to be ready to compete with them again and be better than them and try to get our hands on the Premier League because it's a good trophy to win, and we got a feel for the way Anfield might be if we did win it and we want that feeling again. We need to work extremely hard next season to get that."
Robertson added: "There's two emotions. First of all, gutting, of course it is. We have been beaten by fantastic champions, nobody can argue that. Man City are a great team. But the second feeling I have is that I'm extremely proud to be a part of this club and extremely proud to be a part of that changing room. The way the lads have gone about their business this season is special."
City fell 2-0 down against Aston Villa to prompt hope among the Anfield crowd, only for it to be dashed as the Etihad side fought back to win 3-2.
Asked if he was aware of what was going on at the Etihad, Robertson said: "It's hard not to be. At half-time we knew they were 1-0 down but the problem was we were 1-1, we had to still win the game. We were rushing things and a wee bit forceful. I heard a big cheer and knew Villa had scored again, but then you hear the Wolves fans react as well. When I scored my goal, it's probably the quietest Anfield has ever been and I'm thinking 'something's not right here'."
Liverpool were given Monday off before returning to the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday to begin the build-up to Saturday's Champions League final against Real Madrid in Paris.
And Robertson, speaking to LFC TV, added: "We go to Paris full of confidence and try to win that trophy because that will be a special season. We are good enough to do it. We will be ready. We need to perform at the highest level and if we do that then hopefully we can make it number seven."
