Someone audibly groaned after JJ Redick said he didn’t talk to LeBron James about the Lakers job at his opening presser

New Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick said he didn’t talk to LeBron James about the team’s coaching vacancy, and it sure sounded like somebody doesn’t believe that to be true during Monday’s press conference.

In an absolutely gut-busting video, Redick saying that he and James didn’t speak to one another about the former becoming head coach for the Lakers was immediately followed by a loud groan from someone nearby who seemingly heard Redick’s statement and felt it was bull hockey to the point of loudly expressing that.

Redick could probably sell someone beachfront property at the top of Greenland if they believed that he and James didn’t talk to each other about the Lakers gig, and it was refreshing to hear somebody call shenanigans in the moment with an audible groan… or that’s at least how it came across in the video.

If Redick is actually being honest, we have so many questions. If what we’re guessing is true, he got called on a big whopper in the moment.
