Solway Sharks complete unprecedented quadruple by winning NIHL1 Championship final

The Solway Sharks completed a
four-midable season by securing an unprecedented quadruple at the weekend.

The Dumfries Ice Bowl side won their fourth trophy of the season by beating the Streatham Redhawks 4-0 in the NIHL1 Championship final at Planet Ice Coventry on Sunday afternoon.

That victory, added to the North Cup, NIHL N1 title and the Moralee play-off championship Martin Grubb’s side won last weekend brings together an historic grand slam on the ice for the Sharks.

Sunday’s final was a repeat of last year’s showpiece which the Sharks won 4-2 to secure a treble.

This year they added the North Cup to their trophy cabinet to win everything available to them.
