Caravel’s Fin and Lorcan Spiteri, Neil Borthwick from The French House, Apricity’s Chantelle Nicholson and Ravneet Gill are among the chefs who will join founder Margot Henderson at this year’s Soho Food Feast, as it celebrates its eleventh year.
The chefs will each cook a course as part of a preview dinner held in St Anne’s Church Gardens on June 9, with wines from Top Cuvée, before things get underway properly on Saturday June 10 and Sunday June 11.
The festival will see a number of high profile London restaurateurs cooking in the playground of the Soho Parish Primary School, with Londoners able to tuck into dishes from the likes of St John, Ducksoup, the Michelin-starred Brat, Lina Stores, Gunpowder, Edit, From the Ashes and the recently-opened Nessa, as well as Greek duo Opso and Ino. More names are expected to be announced shortly.
Besides the food stalls, there will be cooking demonstrations, which will show attendees how to up their home cooking. Others can watch panel discussions, which will tackle subjects including sustainability, the future of Soho and women in business — the teams behind Norman’s Cafe and Two Hot Asians will among those offering their takes — while there will also be a cocktail bar and children’s games. There will also be a raffle, with prizes from Manteca, Bao, Bar Crispin, Norma and others.
The entire weekend is hosted to raise money for the Soho Parish Primary School.
“Soho Food Feast is so close to my heart — my children went to Soho Parish Primary School — and I love how over the years it has brought together industry friends and colleagues, true Soho characters, food lovers and families alike,” says Soho Food Feast founder Margot Henderson. “This year, the festival is going to be bigger and better than ever — with a really diverse group of restaurants and chefs, engaging activities and, of course, fantastic food and drink from Soho and further afield. Can’t wait to welcome you.”
