Sofyan Amrabat: Manchester United ‘book private jet’ as Deadline Day move draws near

Manchester United have booked a private jet on Deadline Day to secure the loan signing of Sofyan Amrabat.

According to Manchester Evening News, a plane is due to arrive at Manchester airport at 12.52pm on Friday afternoon in the anticipation that a deal to sign the Fiorentina midfielder will be concluded.

Flight times between Florence and Manchester are more than two hours, so Amrabat could already be on his way to United, though private jets can be rescheduled and pushed back at a moment's notice.

United have chased Amrabat throughout the window. Erik ten Hag, as with many of his new signings, have previously worked with the player, the pair were together at FC Utrecht together or six seasons ago.

Ten Hag wants both Amrabat and Tottenham outcast Sergio Reguilon to sign on loan deals today. Reguilon is a shock transfer target but will provide a back-up option at left-back following Luke Shaw's injury.

Reguilon spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid, but struggled for opportunities. He has been deemed surplus to requirements at Spurs for over a year.
