Sofia Richie Grainge Has Embraced A Low Key Luxury Aesthetic

Sofia Richie Grainge has entered a new era. In life and in style. This past year, the 25-year-old model and influencer has transformed before our very eyes. First, she married music executive Elliot Grainge in a lavish wedding at the hotel Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France. Wearing, we might add, a trio of stunning Chanel gowns for the star-studded weekend-long nuptials. "I loved her wedding outfits, it was all so chic, beautiful, and understated. I hadn't thought of her before but I was happy to see her getting so much attention, " says fashion designer and TV style personality Tan France.

Then in January, she announced she was expecting her first child. In line with her grown-up new lifestyle, Richie Grainge's look has also come of age. The new Sofia is sophisticated, demure, and busy rebranding her signature style with a low-key luxury aesthetic. "I I do love her look. I couldn't care less about the luxury component but quiet sophistication is a shift we are seeing. In the last five years, somebody could only get outfit approval if they went nuts and wore something bonkers. Then out came Sofia in that wedding dress and it was all so beautiful and understated. Maybe we all just want to look nice and sophisticated again. Rather than looking back at a photo in a year or two and thinking what was I doing, we look and say wow I look chic, " says France.

Here how Richie Grainge 2.0 is 'quietly' influencing our wardrobe and beauty routines.

Channel Her Low-Key Luxury Fashion Aesthetic
Richie Grainge's fashion transformation isn't so much a style upgrade as it is a pare-back. In recent years, she's traded in spaghetti-strap camis and denim cut-offs for tailored jackets, high-waisted trousers, crisp button-downs in neutral tones and luxurious fabrics, and timeless classics like trench coats and structured handbags. Favoring sophisticated high-end labels like Khaite, Tom Ford, and The Row, which she often tags in her Instagram posts, the model has become a master of the low-key quiet luxury aesthetic. Such is her style influence that the model has also become the face of luxury jewelry brand David Yurman and has created clothing lines for Solid + Striped and Djerf Avenue.

She Just Ignited the "Lazy Girl Bun" Trend
This week, it was announced the model had become an ambassador for hair care brand Nexxus, and seeing her rocking an elevated take on the "lazy girl bun" ignited a lust for the trend. A TikTok tutorial on how to recreate the low-key beauty look posted on her account has garnered over 32 million views. As she showcases in her video, Richie Grainge creates a "beard" with small pieces at the front of her hair. Next, she pulls the remaining strands into a ponytail where she wants to place the bun, before adding the remaining front pieces, which she slicks back with the hair wax, and wraps everything into a bun with a scrunchie. "You can wear this look to the office, to the gym, to the dog park," she tells Vogue in a video styling the Nexxus products. It really is the ultimate wear-anywhere style. Richie Grainge also demonstrates how to recreate her beachy waves, another staple in her everyday hairstyle rotation. She first blowdries her hair, using the Nexxus Epic Shine Spray, then creates waves with a curling iron. Equal parts sleek, glam, and effortless, this is definitely a style we are inspired to try.

Discover The Secrets Behind Her Glow-Up
Maybe it's all those skin-boosting pregnancy hormones or the fact that she's always been known for her immaculate complexion, but Richie Grainge has also become a skin-fluencer. The model was just announced as Skinceuticals' newest global brand partner, after being introduced to the brand by her dermatologist upon finding out she was pregnant. And, lucky for us, she shared the details of her daily skincare regimen. Richie Grainge uses the brand's Simply Clean cleanser to manage any excess oil (which can go into overdrive when you're expecting), then follows with an application of SkinCeuticals Advanced Brightening UV Defense SPF50 Sunscreen. "I have always had a deep passion for skincare and finding the perfect set of products that are not only effective but also complement my day-to-day routine," she said in a statement about her brand partnership.

Inside Her Minimalistic Makeup Looks
When it comes to her makeup, Richie Grainge's barely-there approach also makes a case for emulating low-key beauty looks where it's all about beautiful natural dewy glowy skin, offset by a strong lip. The model frequently works with celebrity makeup artist Emily Cheng, whose other clients include Billie Ellish, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Awkwafina. To emulate Richie Grainge's minimalist makeup, get a glow-up with a bronze highlighter and finish with bold red or pinkish nude lipstick. Don't forget to keep the base simple--caked-on is not the vibe of quiet luxury. The model prefers to dab on Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick in small doses in needed areas. She's also a fan of Chanel Rouge Coco Baume tinted lip balm and Prada Monochrome Hyper Matte lipstick and loves Nudestix bronzer and blush to achieve her radiant glow.
