The June bank holiday is just around the corner and this will cause changes to social welfare dates.
Banks and post offices will be closed on the June bank holiday Monday, June 5, so recipients will receive their payments on a different date.
If you're due to receive your welfare or pension payment at a post office on Monday 5th June, you will be able to collect it early from Saturday 3rd June. Welfare or pension payments paid directly to bank accounts that are due on Monday 5th June will instead be issued on Friday 2nd June 2023.

Parents who collect Child Benefit will also be paid early. June's Child Benefit payment will also include a €100 bonus payment per child.
Child Benefit is usually paid on the first Tuesday of every month. However, due to the fact this date is just after a bank holiday, there is a good chance it will land in accounts early.
Usually when Child Benefit falls on the Tuesday after a bank holiday, parents receive the payment in their account on the prior Friday or Saturday. This means parents can expect their June Child Benefit payment and the bonus on the 2nd or 3rd of June.
