The June Bank Holiday weekend is just days away and changes will be made to social welfare dates.
Banks and post offices will be closed for business on the June Bank Holiday Monday so social welfare recipients will get their payments on a different date. If you're due to receive your welfare or pension payment at a post office on Monday 5th June, you will be able to collect it early from Friday 2nd. June.

It is also likely that parents will receive their Child Benefit payment early. Child Benefit is due on the first Tuesday of every month but when this falls after a bank holiday weekend, it is usually made available on the prior Friday or Saturday.
This means that Child Benefit may land in accounts on Friday 2nd June or Saturday 3rd June. The June Child Benefit payment will see the €100 bonus per child that was announced in the Government's spring cost of living package.
