The second cost of living bonus payment will be issued in the coming days.
The Government agreed a €410 million social welfare package back in February to help with the rising cost of living. In April, 1.3m social welfare recipients received a €200 spring bonus.
The second bonus payment will be paid at the start of June, with parents receiving an extra €100 cash boost per child. The payment will be made to parents alongside the June Child Benefit.

Child Benefit is typically paid on the first Tuesday of every month. However, due to the June Bank Holiday, parents can expect to receive the money a bit earlier.
All social welfare payments due to be paid on Monday June 5th, as well as Child Benefit due on Tuesday June 6th, will be sent or made available on the prior Friday or Saturday. This means parents can expect their Child Benefit and bonus payments on Friday 2nd June or Saturday 3rd June.
An additional €100 payment will also be paid this year in respect of each child for whom the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance is paid. For a child aged from four to 11 years, the payment will be €260 and for children aged 12 to 22 years it will be €385.
