Social media users bamboozled by viral music video advertising house for sale on Rightmove

Browsing Rightmove for luxurious properties is a pasttime that many Britons enjoy.

Whether you've got an abundance of savings and are ready to upgrade, or you're plotting on how you'd spend your money should you win the EuroMillions - it's a place many UK residents often go to to scout out the market.

However, Rightmove snoopers this week found more than they ever expected to - in the form of a music video advertising a property in Bedfordshire.

The Laurels, which sits on Watling Street in Leighton Buzzard is being advertised for offers in excess of £700,000. A five-bed detached property 'which will tick all those important boxes', offers plenty of room for the full family in a home which boasts all of the bells and whistles.

And while the photographs of the bolstering bedrooms, spacious bathrooms and almost never-ending garden may be enough to draw interest in the period home - it's a rendition of Limahl's The Never Ending Story which has got people talking about The Laurels.

In the clip, uploaded by Just Knock Estate Agents, a woman is filmed singing about how 'there's so much here to see' in 'this old house'. She goes on: "So much space, and every room's a dream. Dining room, snug, games room and the kitchen.

"Maybe you're a family with growing teenage kids. This home has lots of options, to all watch your own Netflix - the never ending property."

Slick visuals, studio recorded vocals, and even a nifty key change - the music video advertising the property offers almost more in terms of entertainment than the home itself. And the unique gimmick for showcasing The Laurels has certainly got people talking on social media.

Hundreds flocked to Twitter to comment on the genius video - now seen by more than 65,000 people - all of whom having their say on it. One, wrote: "Oh. My. Christ. The. Video," while a second, added: "Watch the video. Do it now. You won’t regret it."

A third, penned: "This RightMove ad —— a work of art, can't be improved, perfection," while a fourth, chimed in: "The microdose of joy we all need this morning. Is it too late to change the UK #Eurovision entry? #rightmove."

A fifth, went on: "Clicked to see why #Rightmove was trending... I was NOT disappointed. (Watch the video)," while another, continued: "The video - laughter or shock - not sure - but brilliant!"

One wrote: "Want to sell your house? Make the video go viral by turning up the cringe. Genius. #rightmove," while another, added: "Would absolutely love to see the email exchange when she sent that in to the estate agents to ask for it to be added to the Rightmove listing."

A third, continued: "Petition to stop this absolute NONSENSE."
