The Ohio State Football offense scored a touchdown on its opening drive, but the next one resulted in a three-and-out.
The third drive saw the Buckeyes move the ball to the Indiana 29 where it stalled, leading to a fourth-and-2. The play design was solid, but when running back Chip Trayanum fell, starting quarterback Kyle McCord panicked.
Buy Buckeyes TicketsHe rolled right and threw to his left, right into the hands of the Indiana safety, giving the ball to the home team. It wasn’t what we wanted to see, and as always, people go to social media and react. Check out some of the best from X, the website formerly known as Twitter.

That wasn’t pretty.
Not great
Kyle McCord intercepted on fourth-and-short. Buckeyes go with the play fake. Chip Trayanum, the intended target, gets tripped up so McCord scrambles and tries to throw back to Cade Stover over the middle but didn't see the defender. Not a good throw.

It really wasn’t a good throw.
Can’t do that Kyle
Can’t throw across your body Kyle McCord….

It’s not about who he’s throwing to, it’s just a basic rule to avoid throwing against your body.
Interceptions happen
Just a reminder C.J. Stroud threw an interception against Minnesota in his first career start.

Most quarterbacks throw interceptions.
After the first drive….
Ohio State QB Kyle McCord just threw an ugly interception on fourth down.
Not a crisp start for the Buckeyes in Bloomington.

The Buckeye offense has sputtered since its first drive.
How did he know?
Ohio State has taken 24 snaps on offense, and Kyle McCord has been in on all 24. He did just throw a pick, though, so could we see Devin Brown on the next series?

That is exactly what happened, Devin Brown came in the next series.
It’s funny but true

Great meme but unfortunately, it was true in this situation.
