The Georgia Bulldogs are 9-2 following their 59-21 win over the UMass Minutemen. Georgia’s 30th straight home win did not come easy for the Bulldogs.
Georgia struggled at times defensively and allow UMass to hit on multiple plays of over 60 yards. UMass ran for 226 yards against Georgia’s defense including 110 rushing yards in the first quarter.
Georgia quarterback Carson Beck and the UGA offense played well. Beck threw four first half touchdowns and led Georgia on scoring drives on their first seven possessions.
How did Georgia football fans and media react to the UMass game on social media?
“You have to tip your hat to UMass football today. With how crazy this past week was, it would have been easy for them to throw in the towel vs Georgia. They didn’t. They battled. Much respect!” said one fan via social media. UMass fired its head coach on Monday, but they still had a respectable performance despite being overmatched.
“Backups look great,” said Graham Coffey via social media.
“Does UMass know that Georgia has the hardest SOS in the nation?” said one fan after Georgia went down 7-0.
“What is this Georgia defense!? Giving up 2 LONG drives to UMass to start the game is WILD,” said one fan via social media.
