Social media reacts to Georgia’s tough win at Vanderbilt

In its 37-20 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday, top-ranked Georgia didn’t look like the same team we saw last week.

The Bulldogs were 31.5-point favorites, and the Commodores entered the game 2-5 on the season.

Following a 51-13 win over No. 20 Kentucky in Week 6, the expectations were high for the Bulldogs in this one.

The Commodores, who hadn’t scored a touchdown against UGA since 2018, scored on their first drive thanks to a 49-yard touchdown pass and went on to score three times on the day.

Star tight end Brock Bowers and multiple other Bulldogs left the game with injuries, including defensive lineman Christen Miller, right tackle Xavier Truss and running back Kendall Milton.

In the end, Georgia shut down the Commodores’ comeback attempt and iced the game with a late touchdown by running back Daijun Edwards. The senior tailback racked up 146 yards on 20 carries and a score.

Carson Beck didn’t have his best game. He fumbled twice, losing one, and threw a costly interception that led to a late Vanderbilt touchdown. Beck finished 29-of-39 passes for 269 yards with a touchdown and the interception.
