Social media reacts: Georgia Tech cancels baseball game vs. UGA

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have cancelled a potential make-up game against Georgia baseball after the two schools were unable to reach a mutually agreeable makeup date. The Yellow Jackets controversially did not complete a game against Georgia on March 1 due to weather. Georgia held a 9-3 lead in the top of the fifth inning over Georgia Tech on March 1. The game was a half inning away from counting.

Georgia baseball went on to sweep Georgia Tech in the remainder of the two-game series. Georgia is off to a historically good start. The Bulldogs are 16-1 to begin the season. Georgia swept Northern Colorado over the weekend thanks to a dominant hitting display.

Georgia baseball’s next game is at home against Iowa on March 12 at 5 p.m. ET. The Bulldogs begin SEC play against Kentucky on March 15.

Georgia Bulldog fans were not happy, but not surprised that Georgia Tech cancelled a potential makeup game.

Funny reaction

We aren't surprised

Georgia Tech robbed UGA of a win

UGA still got a sweep

Georgia should be 17-1; Tech should be 11-5 (they are actually 11-4)

Georgia baseball is still off to a great start

Tech didn't want the smoke

Fan thinks Georgia Tech was scared

We knew this was coming

Disappointing to say the least
