The New Orleans Saints got the outcome they were after on Sunday as they defeated the Los Angeles Chargers, 22-17.
Among the biggest standouts of the game was rookie quarterback Jake Haener, who greatly built upon the foundation he had set in his first preseason outing.
Haener showed improvement injury his decision-making and overall rhythm in the offense, continuing to display the same type of moxie and toughness that has earned him respect from this fan base so early on despite a few misfires as he continues to work through the rookie transition,
He finished out the victory 11-of-17 passing for 118 yards and will look to finish out the preseason undefeated when the Saints face the Houston Texans on Sunday.
