There’s a reason why there’s a saying “any given Sunday” — or Monday, in this case. The Tennessee Titans pulled off one of the most improbable upsets of the 2023 season, beating the Miami Dolphins, 28-27.
The Dolphins came into the weekend as 14-point favorites, they were the No. 1 seed in the AFC and undefeated at home. Meanwhile, the Titans came into the game a listless mess.
Unfortunately for Miami and fortunately for Tennessee, games aren’t played on paper.
This was undoubtedly the biggest win of rookie quarterback Will Levis’ young career. Despite having some early woes, he was phenomenal on Monday evening.
While many fans were secretly rooting for a loss to drop the Titans into the top five of next year’s draft, this team had other plans.
Tennessee isn’t ready to pack it in just yet, and all it took was one peek at how emotional Levis was after the game-winning touchdown to see how much this meant to him and his team.

I’m just glad the rest of the country got to see what #Titans fans have been watching these last few weeks — Will Levis isn’t there just yet, but those flashes he has are unbelievable.
Get him more help and a full offseason to continue developing, and he’s going to be a stud ⚔️ pic.twitter.com/rwvi3yh5fD

Don't talk about draft position tonight.
That win means a great deal to that team and has meaning that will carry over. Great job by the #Titans fighting through their mistakes and finding a way against a good opponent to finally win on the road. A result reminiscent of Mike…

Will Levis, on road on the national stage, overcomes adversity to lead two TD drives in less than 3 minutes.
In case it wasn't already obvious, the #Titans have their quarterback.

I know some #Titans fans want the best draft pick possible, and this may hurt them long-term, but this win feels significant for Tennessee.
You gotta finish and learn how to win, and what this says about Will Levis is more important than anything else.

The Titans are the first NFL team ever to be down 14 points with less than 2:55 left and win without overtime.

This #Titans team could be pretty good if they just do less dumb shit that hurts the football team.
Hats off to Will Levis & the offense for driving down the field and getting 15 points to close the game out. Young QB gaining valuable experience in Primetime.

I can’t believe they won. Cannot believe it. They gave the Dolphins 21 points. They played conservative at the end of the half. What a freaking performance by Will Levis and Tyjae Spears. Stillman & Co. starts tomorrow at 2 with a FULL reaction on @1025TheGame
