Social media agrees with Davante Adams’ frustration in Josh McDaniels’ offense

It wasn’t supposed to be like this.

When the Las Vegas Raiders traded for receiver Davante Adams in March, 2022, Adams thought he’d be playing long-term with Derek Carr, his Fresno State teammate, with whom he had a great chemistry. And he was supposed to be doing so in a Josh McDaniels offense that made some sense.

Well, now that the Raiders have jettisoned Carr for Jimmy Garoppolo, and McDaniels’ offense most closely resembles several flaming dumpsters crashing into each other and falling off a cliff, Adams is understandably unhappy with the entire situation. With today’s trade deadline, many are wondering if Adams might be on the move.

Whether that happens or not (and we suspect that it won’t) Adams’ frustration during the Raiders’ 26-14 Monday night loss to the Detroit Lions — a game in which Adams caught one pass on seven targets for 11 yards and all kinds of yards left on the field — was both palpable and completely understandable.

Social media agreed, taking all kinds of shots at McDaniels and Garoppolo.
