The comedian is known for her unique hairstyle, which sees her sport what appears from the front to be a normal fringed bob. However, at the back it is almost completely shaved, But why?

The 29-year-old comic has faced questions about her hair ever since she debuted her now-trademark look on panel show Mock The Week in 2020, explaining that she decided to pick up the razor out of boredom, Wales Online reports.

However, after shaving off the back of her hair, she decided to keep the 'skingirl' look for good and has even worked it into her stand-up routines.

"It is a unique style," she later explained on ITV's CelebAbility. "I did it in lockdown. I'd always wanted to give it a go but I was never brave enough to do it, so I was like 'come on, do it, be brave. Do it, you'll look just like someone from This is England.'

"And then I did it and I thought 'Oh, I don't know if this is This is England. I think it might be back-to-front [Tiger King star] Joe Exotic'"

In an interview with the Evening Standard in 2021, she added: “People sometimes think that I hate my hair, because I’ve made jokes about it. But I love it.

“If you don’t make the jokes, someone else will. I think it’s a personality thing. I don’t want to be a Plain Jane. My mum was a punk – still is – so I take after her in that respect.”

The striking look has made Adam one of the most recognisable comedians on British TV, with the Yorkshire-born comedian appearing on shows including Live at the Apollo, Would I Lie To You, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Have I Got News for You?
