Alex Scott had a cheeky dig at new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino during last night's (June 11) coverage of Soccer Aid. The Argentinian took to the touchline to coach the World XI in the charity match.
Scott, who played for Arsenal, was quick to pile the pressure on the new Blues manager. He has joined Chelsea after a historically bad season, with the club finishing in 12th place in the Premier League.
As reported by the Daily Star, Scott remarked prior to kick-off: "Poch may last longer in this job than his normal one."
The former Tottenham boss has been hired to steady the ship at Stamford Bridge but is seemingly already being touted for an early exit.
Although her comment seemed somewhat harsh, viewers at home seemed to enjoy it. Some took to social media to share their reaction.
One said: "Alex Scott cracking the jokes about Poch lasting longer as Soccer Aid world XI manager then Chelsea manager. Nicely done."
The World XI came out 4-2 victors against England in the charity match last night. Both Usain Bolt and Robbie Keane were on the scoresheet for Pochettino's side.
