Liverpool supporters have reacted to the devastating news that forward Diogo Jota is set for a period on the sidelines, ruling him out of next month's World Cup.
The Portuguese international was stretchered off in the latter stages of Liverpool's 1-0 win over Manchester City and on Tuesday, Jurgen Klopp confirmed the news that both the 25-year-old and the Reds faithful had been dreading.
He will now undergo rehabilitation and joins an injury list which includes Luis Diaz, Ibrahima Konate, Joel Matip and Naby Keita whilst Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain step up their respective bids for full fitness.

The former Wolves attacker has been a surprise package for the Reds following his move in 2020, performing above expectations prior to his move to Anfield.
In 93 appearances, Jota has found the back of the net 34 times. He described the news as one of his dreams 'collapsing' as Fernando Santos' side gear up for their World Cup campaign which kicks off on November 24, they face Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H.
The blow comes after a run of two impressive showings from the attacker. He notched a hat-trick of assists in the rout against Rangers before he had to do work at both ends of the pitch during the win over Pep Guardiola's side.
The first of the matches Jota will miss is West Ham as the Hammers visit Anfield on Wednesday. Liverpool fans couldn't help but share their disappointment on social media, here's how they reacted.
