The SNP has come out as the biggest party at the Scottish council elections.
Nicola Sturgeon's party managed to get 450 councillors elected to council chambers across Scotland. It is a gain of 23 seats on the 2017 result.
The biggest result of the day for the Nationalists was in Glasgow where they just managed to cling onto being the largest party in Scotland's biggest city.
The results for the city came down to the wire, with the Maryhill ward being the decider.
Both the SNP and Scottish Labour had an equal number of candidates as the final ward was announced.
The First Minister hailed a "seismic" result for the SNP in Glasgow.
In another positive for the SNP they were also able to take Dundee City Council from no overall majority to an SNP majority by getting 15 of the 29 seats.
With the SNP and other parties gaining seat the Tories under Douglas Ross lost 61 councillors across Scotland.
Ian Blackford the SNP's Westminster leader said Scottish voters have "sent a message" to Boris Johnson and his Conservatives.
The Tories have suffered at the polls in the local elections, with vote share in a number of wards across Scotland dropping by more than 10 per cent.
One Scottish Tory frontbencher described the early results as "disappointing", claiming part of the reason was the partygate saga.
Speaking to the BBC, Blackford said: "The important story from Scotland is the fact that the Tories are being rejected.
"Their vote is down and I think what really is important today is that the voters have sent a message to Boris Johnson.
"I think there's two things that count; one is of course the cost-of-living crisis - more needs to be done, and the other issue is partygate.
"I think people in Scotland have made it very clear that they want no more of this from Boris Johnson and his Conservatives."
