Scotland is set to be hit with snow tomorrow as drivers are being urged to brace for "difficult" conditions.
The Met Office has issued a snow and ice warning for Thursday, February 9, as wintry showers are set to hit the north and west of Scotland from tomorrow afternoon, lasting overnight. These conditions will result in icy patches on roads and pathways, so both motorists and pedestrians should take caution to avoid accidents and slips.
The latest alert comes after forecasters warned of 75mph winds blasting parts of Scotland on Wednesday, causing potentially "dangerous" conditions. Southwesterly gales will strengthen throughout the day, lasting until this evening.

Forecasters have issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice to start on Thursday, February 9 at 4pm that lasts until 9am on Friday, February 10.
The Met Office said: "Wintry showers will affect northern and western parts of Scotland this evening and overnight. This will result in icy patches at low levels.
"Some snow accumulations of 1 to 2 cm are possible above about 150 m, with 2 to 5 cm above about 250 m."
