The 26th season of the popular singing competition show, The Voice, is set to bring some exciting new additions to its coaching panel. NBC recently announced that Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé will be joining the show as coaches for the upcoming fall season. This news was revealed during NBC's upfront presentation on Monday.
Joining Snoop Dogg and Bublé on the coaching panel will be returning coaches Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani. McEntire, a seasoned veteran of the show, will be making her third appearance as a coach, while Stefani will be returning for her eighth season.
Both Snoop Dogg and Bublé have had previous involvement with The Voice. Snoop Dogg previously served as a mega mentor in the show's 20th season, while Bublé was an adviser to Blake Shelton's team back in season three.
McEntire's return to The Voice will see her taking on a prominent role in NBC's weeknight schedule in the fall. In addition to her coaching duties, McEntire will also star in a comedy series titled Happy's Place, set to air on Fridays.
Furthermore, NBCUniversal has exciting collaborations lined up with Snoop Dogg in the near future. The rapper and producer will be contributing to the network's coverage of the Olympics in Paris this summer. Additionally, Universal Pictures is working on a biopic about Snoop Dogg's life, with Allen Hughes set to direct and Joe Robert Cole (Black Panther) penning the screenplay. Snoop Dogg, Hughes, Brian Grazer, and Sara Ramaker are on board as producers for the project.
As fans eagerly await the new season with the star-studded coaching lineup, the current 25th season of The Voice is set to conclude on May 21.
