Paul Simon and Sabrina Carpenter kicked off the 50th-anniversary special of 'Saturday Night Live' with a duet of Simon's classic 'Homeward Bound.' The show featured a star-studded lineup, including a monologue by Steve Martin and a closing performance by Paul McCartney.

Simon, a key figure in 'SNL' history since its inception in 1975, shared a humorous moment with Carpenter, who wasn't even born when he first performed the song on the show in 1976.

McCartney delivered a memorable rendition of the Beatles' 'Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End,' concluding with the iconic line, 'the love you take is equal to the love you make.'

The special also included musical guests like Lil Wayne and Miley Cyrus, along with a Radio City Music Hall concert. The evening was filled with cameos from legendary figures like Meryl Streep, Jack Nicholson, and Keith Richards.
