Small plane plummets from sky into ranch and explodes into fireball

A small plane crashed inside a private ranch in Palm City, Florida, and was wrapped in flames, resulting in one person's death.

A bystander also sustained injuries while trying to help the trapped pilot.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to assist. The incident occurred on SW 48th Terrace in Palm City, Florida.

Roads near the location where the plane crashed are closed as emergency services operate at the scene.

The circumstances under which the plane crashed or the condition the injured person is in are not known yet.

Police published pictures from the tragedy on social media.

The photos show the wreck of the plane covered in ashes and thick smoke rising from the location of the crash.

Firefighters can also be seen attempting to put out the blaze that sparked from the deadly crash.

Officers from the Martin County Sheriff's Office and the Martin County Fire and Rescue service are still working at the scene.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office said in a post on Facebook: "MCSO and MCFR are on scene of a small plane crash inside a private ranch on SW 48th Terrace in Palm City.

"One person is confirmed to be deceased, a bystander who attempted to help the trapped pilot did sustain injuries.

"Roads near the scene have been temporarily blocked off so first responders can access the scene."

Responding to the terrible news, social media users praised the emergency responders as well as the bystander for attempting to help the pilot.

A user with the name Ryan Hackl said: "Bystander deserves recognition for not just standing around."

People also shared their heartful condolences towards the close ones of the deceased.

And Richard South wrote: "We're at the house next door. Thank you to all of the emergency services who were there within minutes. RIP to the poor pilot."

Murphy Bridget also said: "We live a couple roads away and saw the wreckage. So sad! Prayers to all!"
