A small family business in Dundalk, Maryland, is coming together to support one of its employees, Isabel Franco, whose husband, Jose Mynor Lopez, went missing in the tragic collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge on Tuesday.
The Owls Corner Café, where Franco works, initiated a GoFundMe campaign to assist Franco and her family during this difficult time. The campaign quickly surpassed its $25,000 goal within a day, showcasing the outpouring of support from the community.
Owner Lilly Ordonez shared that the café will be closed for the remainder of the week as a gesture of respect for Lopez and his family. She described Lopez as a dedicated husband and father, known for his hard work and commitment to his loved ones.
Ordonez expressed her deep connection to the family and revealed that Franco is currently in a state of shock, anxiously awaiting any updates on her husband's whereabouts. She mentioned that Franco is struggling to sleep and eat, consumed by worry and uncertainty.
