Slow Motion Turns Video of Top Twins Prospect Cory Lewis’s Knuckleball Into a Work of Art

Twins pitching prospect Cory Lewis was filmed throwing his patented knuckleball and images of the pitch were released on social media.

Baseball agent Ethan Chapman released the video of Lewis’s knuckleball to the public, and the slow motion recording is a work of art. The clip of the pitch looks like something that could be plugged into a scene in a baseball movie, or simply a screenshot that could be hung up on a wall in a local art gallery.

Take a look at the pitch for yourself from Lewis.

It’s hard not to be romantic about baseball, and this video from Chapman proves just that.

Lewis was a 9th round selection out of University of California at Santa Barbara, where he starred on the mound. 2023 is his first professional season, and Lewis has already been promoted to High-A ball from Single-A.

Across both levels, Lewis has compiled an 8–4 record with a 2.76 ERA and 109 strikeouts across 91 and 1/3 innings pitched, thanks in large part to his nasty knuckleball.

Baseball fans loved the release of the slow-mo video, and here are the best reactions to the pitch from across the sport.
