Slim Chickens is a rapidly expanding chicken chain that has gained significant popularity in recent years. Known for its delicious tenders, wings, sandwiches, and jar desserts, the chain has seen remarkable growth, with over 100 new locations opening in just a few years. From 84 stores in 2019, Slim Chickens has now expanded to more than 255 locations by 2024.
The chain's ambitious plans for the future include developing over 1,200 new restaurants, aiming to surpass the 1,400-unit milestone. In 2024 alone, Slim Chickens intends to open more than 70 new locations. While specific details about all upcoming stores are not available, some of the planned openings include cities like Lake Wales, Fla.; Columbia, S.C.; Glendale, Ariz.; Florence, S.C.; and Albertville, Ala.
Recently, Slim Chickens announced a franchise deal for seven new locations in Louisiana, with plans for expansion in various parishes. The chain's COO expressed excitement about partnering with local franchisees to bring their mouthwatering offerings to more communities.
Currently, Slim Chickens has a strong presence in the South, Midwest, and East regions of the United States, with a few stores also operating in the United Kingdom. Looking ahead, the chain aims to expand into states like Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, as well as international markets such as the European Union, Turkey, and Asia.
As part of the broader trend of rapid growth in the restaurant industry, Slim Chickens is not alone. Other chains like Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers and Pollo Campero are also planning significant expansions in 2024, indicating a competitive landscape in the fast-food sector.
