Slash's Stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight Tragically Dies From Suicide

Renowned comedian Tony Knight, aged 54, met a tragic end

On July 19, tragedy struck as Slash's 25-year-old stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, took her own life at a Los Angeles residence. The coroner's report revealed that a packet of suicide notes was discovered in the main room, indicating that Knight had no prior suicide attempts but had experienced suicidal thoughts in the past. Her family disclosed that she had a history of undiagnosed mental illness, characterized by paranoia and hallucinations.

Records showed that Knight had been hospitalized twice under 5150 holds in 2024, a measure for adults facing mental health crises. Her body was found in the bathroom of an Airbnb she had rented for four days, with the property manager unable to reach her and eventually calling emergency services. Upon arrival, officers encountered resistance when trying to access the residence, discovering a handwritten sign warning of toxic gas inside.

The Fire Department Hazmat Unit later identified lethal levels of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, cerium hydroxide, and sodium thiosulfate at the scene. Additionally, antidepressants were found in Knight's possession, with the cause of death determined to be hydrogen sulfide toxicity, a highly dangerous gas that can be fatal upon prolonged exposure.

Slash, the renowned guitarist, expressed his grief on Instagram, remembering Knight as a talented artist and a kind-hearted individual. He urged fans to respect the family's privacy and refrain from speculating on the circumstances surrounding her death as they navigate this profound loss.
