Slam Dunk Festival Leeds 2022 line up, set times, banned items, travel details and tickets

Slam Dunk Festival returns this weekend with thousands expected to attend the fun at Temple Newsam.

Ahead of the event, we have all the key information you need to ensure you make the most of your day. Slam Dunk Festival 2022, an event which champions pop-punk, ska punk, emo, metal and alternative rock music, will be happening on Friday, June 3.

Some of the big acts lined up to play include Sum 41, Alexisonfire and Neck Deep. Elsewhere on the bill, you can expect to see performances from Deaf Havana, The Dropkick Murphys and The Wonder Years.

As we mentioned, the event will be happening on Friday, June 3. Main gates and car parks will open at 9am with main arenas opening at 11am.

Banned items

As is the case with any major event and festivals there are items which are banned from site and security procedures in place ensure everyone can safely enjoy the festivities.

Here’s the restrictions for Slam Dunk Festival 2022 at Temple Newsam:

  • Bags larger than A3 size (30cm x 42cm x 19cm) will NOT be permitted to the festival
  • No drugs - anyone found in possession of illegal or recreational drugs will be ejected and the substances seized
  • Food and drink can not be taken into the site but there are stalls and vendors

Any medication you wish to bring must be clearly labelled in your name.

Travel and travel information

Here are all the essential details for getting to and from the Temple Newsam site. We have info on arriving by car, bus and train as well as how to get back to Leeds city centre from the venue.

Car

Slam Dunk North car park is located off a junction of the M1 and A63. For sat nav location of the entrance search ‘Temple Newsam Park - Event Road’ and then follow the yellow festival signage once approaching the site. The car park opens at 9am and spots can be booked by the event’s website.

There’s also a drop off area for those arriving by taxi or who have kind friends who will happily take them to Temple Newsam.

Shuttle bus

There will be a shuttle bus running between the festival site and Leeds city centre. Pick up and drop off is just a short walk away from Leeds Train Station. To note, this station is the nearest to Slam Dunk Festival.

The shuttle bus will be running from Sovereign Street, from 8.30am until 3pm. Return tickets will then be available between 8pm and 1am. Single tickets cost £5 and return tickets are available for £10.

Coach

Slam Dunk Festival 2022 has partnered with Big Green Coach to provide travel from around the UK directly to the festival site and back again. Big Green Coach is available to Slam Dunk North from many major towns and cities.

Tickets

If you’d love to go to Slam Dunk Festival 2022 there’s still some tickets available. If you’d like to go there’s general admission and VIP tickets you can buy.

Tickets cost as follows:

  • General admission - £95
  • VIP passes - £141.90
