The Miami Dolphins ruled out seven players for their Week 5 matchup against the New England Patriots, including backup quarterback Skylar Thompson and rookie pass rusher Mohamed Kamara.
Earlier in the week, the Dolphins released backup quarterback Tim Boyle, leaving Tyler Huntley and Thompson as the only two passers on the active roster. However, Boyle was added to the Miami practice squad and was elevated for Week 5, meaning the team isn’t without a backup quarterback Sunday.

The exclusion of Kamara is a bit of a surprise, as the rookie appeared primed to make his NFL debut following the season-ending injury suffered by Jaelan Phillips. Instead, it’s Tyus Bowser who will make his Dolphins debut just a few days after signing with the team Thursday.
The Patriots ruled out both of their starting safeties, Jabrill Peppers and Kyle Duggar, from playing Sunday.

The Patriots and Dolphins have the No. 31 and No. 32 scoring offenses, respectively, through the first four weeks of the season.
