Sky, Virgin and Freeview users to receive new free movie channel today

If you're a bit of a movie buff who wants to tune into endless movies without paying a penny for the privilege, you're in for a treat today - as a free new service launches on Sky, Virgin and Freeview.

GREAT! which already offers UK homes a number of movie channels has switched on it's Christmas movie service early to get people feeling festive, with back to back blockbusters - 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The network will be showing Christmas themed silver screen classics all the way through until the big day itself, with titles like A Christmas Melody, starring Mariah Carey and Call Me Claus with, Liam Neeson, Pierce Brosnan and Suranne Jones, to name a couple.

The Express reports that viewers will also get exclusive channel premieres to keep things fresh, like The Mistletoe Promise, A Taste of Christmas, Christmas Cupcakes, Welcome to Christmas and many more. If you fancy seeing what all of the fuss is about, you can tune into the new service on Freeview 52, Sky 319, Virgin 424, and Freesat 303 from today (September 8).

Along with this new and exciting movie channel beaming into millions of homes across the UK, Freeview also announced another two channels have arrived on the platform, in the form of EarthxTV and Celebration TV.

Both of these services are totally free to watch with EarthxTV (channel 79) showing content aimed at those interested in the environment and with Celebration TV (channel 275) offering programmes based on faith and religion.
