Sky TV remote has 'special' hidden function that people are just learning about

Having Sky TV in your home means you're treated to a huge array of programmes, films and boxsets available to watch whenever you like.

However, the confusing remote often has people stumped. With so many functionalities, it can be difficult to navigate Sky's tricky menus to find exactly what you're looking for, whether that's switching between channels quickly or finding things you've recorded.

But it turns out one of the most obvious-looking buttons on this remote is also one of the most useful - and you may not know how handy it can actually be.

Eagle-eyed Sky TV subscribers have discovered that the Sky logo button at the top of the remote isn't just there to look pretty.

The Star reports that when it's pressed, it gives you instant easy access to all your recordings, including movies and TV shows.

You won't have to scroll through all the menus to get there, as it brings all your content up immediately - meaning you can get watching quicker if you've recently missed an episode of your favourite series.

The logo button works from anywhere within the Sky interface, meaning you can get to your recordings even when you're watching a show.

The new Sky Q remotes also have the button at the top (UGC)

Sky remotes have plenty of other hidden features that improve your TV-watching experience.

If you want to get back to the previous channel you were watching without having to type in a number, simply hit the blue arrow key on the remote.

You can also press the voice control button on the Sky Q remote and tell your TV what to do. For example, if you want to fast forward five minutes, you can just instruct the TV to 'skip five minutes' or even 'restart' the show.

And maybe the most helpful hack of them all - if you ever lose the remote, you just have to press and hold the Q button on the Sky TV box.

The remote will beep with a loud alarm to help you find it, just like Apple's 'Find My iPhone'.
