If there is a Sky Q box underneath your TV then you might want to get the remote control to test out some secret tips and tricks.
The new and improved channel changer from the satellite company includes a rake of hidden features, as well as a secret button that brings up a popular on-screen function - without the need to slog through menus.
Here is everything you need to know about getting the most out of your Sky Q remote.
Swap between channels more easily
Have you ever been stuck trying to switch between two channels at the same time? Well, there is an easy way to flick around between them that doesn’t involve flicking through a massive list.
If you are in need of jumping between channels then you simply need to press the right button on the control panel arrows and a menu will appear on the screen showing the last channel you were watching.

This will only work if you have been watching for at least over a minute, but if that is the case you can easily swap between.
Find your remote
Ever go to change the channel and your remote is gone? Sky has added a feature that solves the age-old issue plaguing people ever since TVs began using remotes.
If you have misplaced your remote, simply head to the Sky Q set-top box and press the Q logo that glows on its front. Your missing accessory should then start loudly bleeping so you can track it down.
Jump to recordings
Need to catch up on some recordings during some downtime? As it turns out there is a much quicker way to do this rather than tapping endless buttons.
If you hit the Sky logo at the top of the remote, the box will immediately load up the recordings page.
Alongside this, you can alternatively hit the blue voice button and say "Go to recordings", "My recordings", "Take me to recordings", or "Open my recordings".
Keep watching while looking for a show
There is a handy way of keeping the big screen action going while having a flick through the channel. When watching live TV, just press the main button in the centre around the arrow keys.
The content you're viewing will remain on the full screen but a channel listing box will appear at the bottom. You can then use the up and down arrows to look at what else is on.
Then the programme you are watching will stay up on the screen while a channel listing box will appear at the bottom. Using the up and down buttons you can find what else is on and if you do just press the middle button to watch.
Fast forward faster
Although there is a dedicated button at the top of the remote for whizzing through a recording, there is also a secret way to get to the middle much faster.
When watching a recording press the up arrow key on the remote. This will bring up a timeline bar at the bottom of the screen. Then press the right arrow key and hold. You'll then be able to speed through the show or film at a faster rate. When you get to the point you want to watch, just let go of the arrow key.
Once more, you can also the voice control capabilities of your Sky Q remote, you can say "Go To 45 Minutes" or "Skip 30 Minutes" to immediately go to a certain point in the show.
